I'm thinking of starting my own IT Knowlegebase, how's this for a start?

    Applies To:
    HP Laserjet 6P

    Symptoms:
Printer will not print and the error light is flashing. Someone has put a tray of chicken wings ontop of the printer.

    Cause:
Chicken wings have obstructed page output causing a paper jam.

    Resolution:
    Follow these steps:

    1. Remove tray of chicken wings.
    2. Open toner loading tray and remove toner cartridge.
    3. Clear paper jam, replace toner cartridge and close tray.
    4. Eat a chicken wing.

    Kesgrave Park F.C. Update [20 Jul 2006|10:58am]
As you can see from the title of this post we have decided upon a name for our wonderful club. Despite Rawsons insistance on 'The Hurricanes' we have gone with Kesgrave Park F.C. because we play in a park, sort of. Kenny is working on the logo and the website, hopefully we'll be able to have a peak at these soon.

Now we have a team name sorted we can get the bank account set up, I'll put in some cash in personally to get us registered with the FA. After that we shouldn't have any problems getting some sponsorship. Laura's research is really helpful and has given us some good direction and grounding, I've looked at a couple of grant website's Laura found. With one we can get straight grant from £300-£10,000, another will match our sponsorship deal £ for £ (i.e. double our money).

Insurance is another thing I need to look at, Laura printed something off for me but I left it at home. I'll give that a run through later today.

That's all I can think of for now, I'll keep you updated with any more developments.

    Cheers,

    Dave

Community Football Team Update [19 Jul 2006|08:56am]
As it turned out it was kit #3 that we have gone with, #1 and #2 got more in the straight vote but everyone seemed to like #3 as their second choice, so we went with that.

    The Winning Design

This is pretty much it except the lettering will be in capitals and it will have our sponsor and club logo on the front.

    Nearly there people!

Community Football Team Update [17 Jul 2006|07:18pm]
I've recieved the second two designs from our kit suppliers. If we could have a meeting about which kit we are going to go for and brainstorm possible team names tommorow that would be great. The Farmhouse would be ok with me but if someone has a quieter and less distracting venue please let me know.

I've found on the Suffolk FA website (somewhere) that the sign up date to enter a league/cup is June of that season, so we don't have to worry about this for a while.

Our tresurer Laura has found out some info about the legal side of what we need to have a joint account, we'll need to both go in with Chrisy D and a couple of other people as we'll need about five signatures to get the "contract of trust" drawn up.

Also we are on the edge of a deal with Kirton Windows, it looks like we'll get £40 so I'll factor this in and give you an update on the shirt price at the meeting tommorow.

Lastly, links for the kit ideas...

    Design #1
    Design #2
    Design #3

Spread the word about tommorow! If you have a better venue than the farmie please let me know.

    Cheers!

    1st Draft - Community All-Stars F.C. 07-?? Home Kit [14 Jul 2006|12:30pm]
This isn't final, but is what most people at the Farmie seemed to be happy with. We're not certain on the sponsorship yet but it might be Kirton Windows. Where it says "Community All-Stars F.C." we will have a logo, Kent's working on that at the moment. Also I'm not to sure about the font, the player name being 'Randall' not 'RANDALL' or the shade of blue. None of this is too important because we can have as many design inquiries as we like.

Feel free to leave your opinion.

Community Team Meeting [12 Jul 2006|03:28pm]
    Ladies and gentlemen,

I'd like to suggest we meet up at the Farmhouse tonight at 7:30pm to discuss forming the Community Football Team. We'll discuss such issues as team name, colours, sponsorship etc. I'll print off some of the designs from the shirt website and we'll begin to think about a match kit.

Also I spoke to Ozzy in the car about being sponsored by Kirton Windows, all his dad would have to do is beat the Oweyo Sports offer of 10% per shirt (roughly £36 in total if we get 13 shirts) which looks fairly likely. If we got the Oweyo Sports logo on our sleeves then we could save a further 5% per shirt bring in the price down to under £25!

Let me know If you can/not make it, much appreciated.

    Yrs,

    Dave

    IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT [10 Jul 2006|07:14pm]
It's not often that I post on this thing, but this definatly warrants it. If you were watching the final at the farmie yesterday you might have been part of a conversation talking about gett ing professional looking community football shirts printed, with 'Community FC' (or something) logo and WideAsleep.Net as a sponsor? Well I've found a great website for doing it.

    Designs
    Pricing

It'll basically work out at 37.90 Euros per shirt with a 20 Euro shipping fee, numbers and names are free. If we get less than 10 people up for this there will be another 70 Euros on top of that, but seriously, who would not want one? Post if you are up for it, shot-gun a number if you want it desperatly. We can sort out the design etc. at a meeting at the farm house some time.

    Anyway, shot gun number 5.

    Announcing... [29 Dec 2005|12:55pm]
    randyLANsix

I know this is short notice chaps but that's all the time I've had to plan, mother thinks she can knock the wind out of my pre-meditated sails by declaring that she is going on a short holiday just a day before she does but I'll best her yet!

Anyway the day will be tommorow (told you abouth the short notice) and should last day and night, I will probably be opening for business about 12ish for you early birds but mid-afternoon arivals should be ok. The feature game will be Civilization 4 so I'd firstly like to get the people in who enjoyed the previous titles or would like to give it a shot, after that people who just like the general LAN atmosphere.

The people who I know would be interested in this are (in no particular order)...

    1. Me (ob!)
    2. Jay
    3. James
    4. Rawson
    5. Walling
    6. Rusty
    7. Blair (know he likes the game but not sure how hot he is on bringing a machine)

Of course the regulars and guests are always welcome at the randyLAN but keep in mind there won't be too much FPSing this time round, we're breaking the mold here.

I've also got a spare PC that can be used if someone would like to come but doesn't have/can't bring a PC, but it will have to stay upstairs and out of the way as it is the net server.

Last thing I'd like to point out that we can get you the game installed on your machine and it comes with a tutorial that takes rougly an hour, I advise that everyone except Jay and I should give that a whack, it's pretty good as tutorials go.

    Regards,
    Randy

If anyone has any misunderstandings regarding my new job this pretty much sums it up.

"#1: Biff works in the accounting department. He needs to access a file on a shared drive, but he doesn’t have permission to view it. During this process he also develops a boner in his pants. What should Biff do?

    A) Load his hacking tools and hack into the drive.
    B) Contact IT support for permissions.
    C) Sit motionless in his cubicle until the issue resolves itself.
    D) Contact IT support about his boner.

The answer is B and D. IT support is the direct point of contact for all issues regarding computer access and mystery boners."
